Gratitude and Gratefulness is what we all should be feeling at this time of the year. I know that the average agent in the nation only makes somewhere below $40,000 in the year and in most areas of the country that isn't even a part time job salary. Truth is many agents work part time and many full time agents only do the real work part time. For these people there is more fear and loathing for the job. They are the people who complain about the market and their fellow agents. They complain about thier agency and switch from one place to the next always looking for an easy way. Well, guess what, there is no easy way. Real Estate, as a profession is simple, but it is not easy.
To be successful in this business you need to arrive at each day with a plan. You need to know what you are going to do and you need to hold your feet to your own fire. The further your toes are from that fire, the colder that fire becomes. I am grateful for all those wonderful agents I have worked with and learned from this past year. The webinars, the seminars, the conferences and the conventions have all brought to me a deeper understanding of best practices as used on a daily basis by the best agents. It is not a matter of going to an educational event, it is always all about what you put into practice the minute you leave the event. Real Estate is all about ACTION. Not just any action, but positive action towards your goals. If you have no goals, you will get no where. If you set goals and don't achieve all of them, that is no problem at all. Just reset them right now and do better. If you are just 10% better each day, no, make that 1% better in a short period of time you will be achieving all you desired.
I feel great gratitude for starting my fifth year in this wonderful business where I get to help people achieve their dreams and get paid well for it. How do you feel today? Gratitude and Gratefulness.
