2015 Free Christmas Tree Christmas Light Recycling Albuquerque

Like the idea of including the Christmas Lights recycle program-  Here in New York our curbside  pick is Next week  followed by a Mulch Fest were you can drop off your tree and will be given Mulch in return.

John, great job spreading the word to Albuquerque resident for the tree and tree light recycling. I hope many residents take advantage of this opportunity. No reason to just toss them out. 

I know many communities have tree recycling, but I LOVE the light recycling - as we know, many of those strings fail and then what?  Hope lots of folks take advantage -

You do need to spell it out for all the good people there because recycling becomes a bear for the people on the other end, John...hope 2015 is a great year for you two!

John, I've seen more of the Christmas tree recycle-rs popping up. A past tradition of mine was to save the Christmas tree from the previous year and burn it on the following New Years Eve a year later at midnight...a dry Christmas tree makes a great fire! That was my way of recycling.

Hi John -- as Alexandra Ron & Alexandra Seigel commented, Albuquerque has the right idea(a lightbulb moment so to speak) when it comes to holiday light recycling.   

Hey, QMan...the light recycling--brilliant! (Hah, couldn't resist). One year instead of cutting down a tree, I actually bought a tree, roots and everything (albeit not large), kept it sustained in a pot and planted it in my backyard afterwards. 

Voila! Recycling/repurposing/rewarding!

This is wonderful information for the people of Albuquerque.  I especially like that your tree can become mulch to use in your yard. 

Thank you for the comments today, it sure does feel like a Monday. The holidays made a mess of my schedule for closing sales, i am working and banks and lawyers are enjoying the Holidays while teh buyers and sellers wait, 

Thanks for the ever-so-useful information on recycling Christmas trees and those lights, John and Debbie.  Around here, those lights provide jobs for people in job training programs, so it is a win-win-win!

It was 60 degrees Christmas and it fet like spring, today though it is 12 right now, finally it feels like Christmas but i have already moved on to counting days until spring. 

Last week the pocked up trees in our area, the snow though blanketed a lot of them which were then pushed around by the plows. It is suppose to warm up slowly, so that is positive, i have been so busy i have not slowed down enough to get cold.
