That Real Christmas Tree Can Be Of Further Use to Mother Nature!

tree

With many of us taking down our Christmas trees over the next few days it seems such a waste to throw them out at the street for garbage pick up.

I found this great article 4 Ways to Re-cycle your Christmas Tree for Wildlife.  This article was written by the National Wildlife Federation.

I thought the 4 tips were great and easily done and are ways to give back to the soil as well as to nature.

The one where you decorate it with foods for the birds and squirrels would really be fun as well as interesting to observe over the winter.

Definitely consider these tips if you have a real tree to remove from your house.

Mother nature will thank you.

Judith clearly I love the idea of recycling them in the Wetlands....Diane and I were driving by one of those parking lots where they sell the trees and it was so sad to see that they miscalculate and cut too many trees down  and could not sell them...we said what a waste...Endre

Judith Parker so much better to resuse the tree than just send it to the landfill.

Good evening Endre Barath, Jr. .. it is sad to see the many trees that are not sold at Christmas.  I hope they are used for re-cycling in some way.

Good morning Judith. There are many places that grind the trees up and use them for footpaths in the local parks. Great way to recycle used Christmas trees.

Many communities now convert the old Christmas trees to very useful mulch.
