Home Staging Tips- Tips for the NEW YEAR When  Selling Your House in Boynton Beach.

If you’re waiting until after the holidays to sell your home, here are 8 tips for Home staging tipsthe NEW YEAR that will help you get your home sold.

Price, location and condition all play a part in influencing a buyer.. if they want to make an offer and how much they are willing to offer based on the perceived value of the property.

Start the New Year out right by following these home staging tips.

Neutralize your house.  This does not mean make it bland.  What you want is a house that is not taste specific regarding color or other design choices.

Edit your rooms. This is the nice (and my preferred way) of saying declutter.  Buyers are looking at your space and its liveability.  Too many things eat up space and make it difficult for the eye to focus on one thing.

Wash all windows; scrub your floors; clean like crazy.  Nothing turns off a Buyer more than a dirty house.   Call in a cleaning crew if you need to.

Yield to the advice of professionals such as your real estate agent,  Home Stager, and other contractors.  They are the team you assembled and you all have the same goal in mind.

Eliminate odors!   You may not be aware that you have them but buyers and their agents will know it the minute they walk in your door.  Don’t use candles or baked cookies either.  CLEAN is the scent that works.

Allow Buyers to see your house.  Before a showing, make sure that all lights are on and the curtains and blinds are open or pulled back.  You also want to make it possible for Buyers to see your property by being flexible for viewing appointments.

Repair or replace items that need it. Buyers will put a premium on move-in-ready homes.  If you have old fixtures, worn carpeting or floors, or dated lighting, replace, repair or update.

Store items that you want to use in your new home but do not use now.  You can rent off site storage month to month.  If you no longer want items, donate them, sell them or toss them.
