Laurie.  Actually, the taxes for the property and acreage is about what they are in my county too.

Karen.  Thanks.  I just looked at the map and Gettysburg is pretty far from you.  The owner of this farm asked me to try to find a buyer.  I'm trying.

Great place,  Great Taxes.  Too bad I'm in Bucks County, PA.  What a wonderful home.

Beautiful home, Lenn.  That makes me think of (and miss) Virginia.

The taxes... wow.  We pay $5,600/yr on a $350K house.  Of course we don't have any other taxes; no sales tax, no income tax, etc.  so I can't complain too bad.

I really love that home.  I am sure you will sell it.  I am suprised you didn't mention the battlefield.

Karen.  Thanks.  I'd love to find a buyer for this lovely farm.

Brian.  Goodness.  It's only about 90 miles.

Jesse and Kathy.  Thanks.  I've heard of the low taxes in Alaska.  Isn't it the oil???  Sounds good to me.  Other states don't have income taxes but the property and/or sales taxes make it up.

John.  Thanks.  It's a lovely home.  I didn't mention the proximity to Hershey's chocolate either.

Lenn - That is a gorgeous property!  If it were in California, where our taxes are limited by the last sale price, the taxes would be about $26,000 per year!  Are your taxes likely to be re-assessed after sale?

I love your photos, art work and maps - do you make them yourself?  (I'm a little suspicious that you are a closet artist in your spare time!)

Great property, Lenn.  I only wish I had 2.6 mil to buy it myself (or would be able to afford the upkeep). Unfortunately, I don't travel in those circles (yet) either.

Vicki.  No doubt it will be reassessed but the taxes are in line.  We don't have the sudden hikes on transfers that you do out there.  Most properties in this area are reassessed regularly and not just on transfer.

Ken.  You don't have to buy it.  Find a buyer for it.

I love elegant older homes and coupled with horses and a farm is terrific.  Your presentation makes me want to come out and take a look at me.  As a Realtor I love to look at and preview homes and this one is fabulous.  Good luck with selling it no one will do a better a marketing job.

Miriam.  Thanks.  This property is a winner all the way.  Let's hope we can get some buyer interest.

Pam. Indeed.  Properties like this are so inviting.

Kaye.  Seems to me that the tax man cometh to everyone, just in different ways.   Most of these properties have low agricultural tax rates for most of the acreage.

This truly is a dream house and property...The history, the acreage, the views, Wow!  How smart of you to share it with agents from all over the country because I can imagine this could appeal to a vast number of home-buyers looking for horse property or just a rolling estate in the country.

Jeff.  This isn't too far from Lancaster County.  Same beautiful countryside.

Diane.  By George, I think she's got it.  Indeed.  A buyer for properties like this jewel can come from any place in the world.

Lenn... without a doubt- you live in a beautiful idyllic setting. I've only been through your section of the country a half dozen times but I have memories to last a life time. What gorgeous scenery!

Lenn, beautiful home.  I have been to Gettysburg once when my kids were younger.  We drove to Hershey first and then to Gettysburg.  It was a beautiful area and I would like to visit it again, but this time without the ankle bitters.

George.  Thanks.  This entire area is really very lovely.

Bill.  This isn't my listing.  I'm advertising it for the owner.  Of course, if my efforts produce a buyer, then I can make a referral.  Cross your fingers.

My father had a property for sale in Gettysburg one time. This looks very similar to the one he had. What is the address?

Wow, that's awesome. I am from Gettysburg but I don't remember ever seeing that house!

By the hills in the background I would say it is either toward Fairfield/Carroll Valley  or west off Route 30 someplace.

Take care,

Dr Adam

Are they including the furniture in the sale? Why are they closing the bed and breakfast? Also, as a Ghost hunter, does it have any type of activity? My family is very interested in the place. It is really beautiful!
