Bridgeland, a 10,000-acre master-planned community in northwest Houston, has selected the team of builders for its first village of new homes, The Shores.
Eleven builders will be offering homes, priced from the mid-$100,00s to more than $500,000, in this initial phase.
The Shores will feature almost 600 homesites in 10 separate neighborhoods across 200 acres.
Builders will be showcasing a total of 13 model homes in the Bridgeland Model Home Park, located just south of Shores Park, a four-acre park serving as the focal point for The Shores.
The 11 builders participating in The Shores are Darling Homes, David Powers Homes, David Weekley Homes, Hallmark Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes, Partners in Building, Perry Homes, Trendmaker Homes, Village Builders and Wilshire Homes.
Bridgeland will ultimately include more than 21,000 single-family homes with 65,000 residents.
The master plan for Bridgeland calls for an extensive lake and trail system and a series of distinctive bridges all designed to connect recreational, educational and cultural amenities together with employment, retail and health and fitness offerings.
Bridgeland will also feature a large town center area near the center of the community, along the future Grand Parkway.
The community, located off Highway 290 in northwest Houston and bordered to the north by Mallard Lake and Cypress Creek, is a development of General Growth Properties.
