How do you help the Kids?

By

I would love to hear what you all do in helping children prepare for a move.

Most of my clients do not have children. So I have no system in place to help the little ones get ready and excited. I would love to mail the kids something- that is exciting enough for some ages groups.
Do you have anything you mail to them? What about for helping the kids get the dog and cat ready for the move?
The goal would be to get the children invested in the process, allay their fears, and give them a focus on their energy.
Have you seen anything like this?

Sarah,

I'm not sure if the following is what you're looking for - but just in case - here it goes...

1. Send them Info from the area (usually the Chamber of commerce has kids booklets)

2. Depending on how much money you had planned to spend - you could send a small carry-on, travel bag with a welcome letter to get them ready to move (pack your favorite things...)

3. Depending on age - if they are school age - send some school info (if it's a small area the buyers have narrowed down - you could even get in touch with the school itself and connect them)

4. Send info on activities, clubs and events in the area. (If you have a questionaire re hobbies or clubs they are currently involved in -  then send info from the same type of clubs/sports/hobbies)

5. Find something that makes your area unique - and monopolize on that - sending info about Geo Caching, Hiking, skiing, a specific team or sport, hobby etc....

Just my two cents. Hope this helps.
