At the Eleventh Hour
While revelers everywhere prepared to celebrate the New Year, I happily sat around a closing table with other key players, patiently awaiting wire confirmation that signaled the end of the transaction.
A complicated short sale, many months in the making, and frequently threatening to fall apart, finally closed very late in the day on December 31st, as just about everyone else had already shut down and a previously filled-to-capacity parking lot had emptied.
Smiles all around - the perfect beginning for a young family. 
We couldn't leave without their HGTV moment.
