If you missed William Johnson of San Diego's blog on business card etiquette, go right now to search and read it. When I find something that thrills me,  as this did, I act on it.  I ordered my business card envelopes and received them UPS the very next day.  Now I have a delema.  I loaded about 50 of them.  I ordered the blue ones because they go with Prudential One Realty's blue color, and black ones because they look elegant.  I couldn't wait to get home and tell my husband to ask me for a business card.  He was impressed. I asked him what his opinion of the presentation was. He is not a REALTOR, although I am working on him, so there is hope. He said it looks like I am a classy REALTOR, above average. THANK YOU WILLIAM! I am at an Open House now and have given out 6 so far.  The other Realtors in Elkhart County Indiana are going to be green with envy when they see these!  One gentlemans reaction was, Ohhhh, Wow! THANK YOU WILLIAM!  Now the title question, should I seal them or not seal them?  My husband took a really long time to open it-he didn't want to ruin the envelope, and the ones I have here at the Open House are not sealed.  It looks like it is easier for them to look at.  What would you do?

Thesa, I hadn't thought about tucking.  Good idea, I will try that and see if they are hard to get out or not.

Thanks!

Have you handed any out yet Kathy?  Everyone looked at it and their eyes got big but only one commented on it.  I just love it and you can bet they will remember you.  I just love it!

Hi Evelyn, My preference is not sealing the envelope flap unless I am mailing them in something. I also use the card sleeve that has no flap. I have a big variety of envelopes I use for different things. I got an e-mail from a seller of someone else's listing when I left my card at the showing, expressing how impressive and that they were honored that such an esteemed professional had viewed their home. Can you even imagine what that feels like to receive such a compliment from a seller of someone else's listing.

I attended a very upscale banquet this past weekend and I met the CEO of a very large and important International company. Of course I found the right opportunity to present my card. He was visibly impressed. A bit later he asked to present my card to another person he had spoken to about how impressed he was. And so it goes.

It is so classy and so unlike just handing someone your card. I discovered this post because I needed to make reference to my card marketing post and discovered your post and wanted to Thank You so much for the nice words and the fact that you have implemented the idea.

All my Best Wishes for continued success!

No, I THANK YOU William, for the original post.  I was so excited the moment I read your article that I went online and ordered them.  I am out now and need to order more, I will look at the ones with no flap and get some of them.  Thanks for sharing!  The response I have received from using them has been great!
