Everyone bare with me while I figure our the best format I will use to write this blog.  I know it has been awhile since I started this blog.  I decided to do a little research and see what is best to blog about and how to effectively reach my target audience.  Currently I just picked up an amazing book on bloging Specifically on Real Estate.

Realty Blogging

I thought about just posting amazing rental deals in the area.  However, usually those deals last only a day and blogs tend to not receive response immediately.  Additionally, I do not want to add clutter of real estate listings on this blog either.  I still am working out the details of this blog and hope to update more regularly.

Hi Jesse:  My first suggestion would be to post a picture of yourself.  We all like to put a face with the words!

Don't worry about what to blog...just start writing.  It will fall in place eventually.  Write about what you want to talk about.  The audience will come later.

good luck...you will find plenty of ideas on ActiveRain on what to write, how to write...but it all comes down to just writing.

The first thing I would suggest writing would be a good Biography about you for your profile page. (and of course a picture)

It is better to write something than leave a blog stagnant.  For the best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) according to the book mentioned above it is important to try to maintain an active blog.  This is something I have failed to do so in the past.  When you look at other blogs on Active Rain you see people posting regularly.  This is not done by accident...  I need to get into the habit of posting and not just fluff.  Bill please give me a break here...

Carol thank you for your suggestion.  I am working on doing that in the near future for both Active Rain  and on Ardor's website.  A picture and a bio looks a lot more professional.

Bob... s I was writting the above you beat me to the comment post :)

I agree on the picture thing. Also, why is your font so teeny tiny? It's hard for old folks like me to read LOL!

I would say to fill out your About Me section... give readers some glimpse of the man behind the blog.  Also it looks like you deal primarily in rentals (from your website link anyway).  Blog about topics relevant to rentals.  Posts don't have to specifically be rental listings, but about deposits, finding the right rental, application process, move in/move out, specifics on buildings, etc.  Anything and everything real estate will help.  If you can think of a real estate related topic, then blog your little heart out about it.  Even non real estate related posts, such as exhibits, community evens, etc are great.

I second Colleen's comment above... the print is waaaay too tiny for me to easily read.
