Juli,

I would have thought that the excitement of a winning football franchise might have had something to do with that. But then I realized that the Arizona Cardinals have only been good recently, and 17 years ago, you probably needed some motivation like our gorgeous winters.

 

One additional thought, though: don't work the climate angle in June, July or August.

I've been to Scottsdale.  I fell in love in and with Scottsdale.  I saw my first desert and cactus ever in Scottsdale. 

It was my first trip west and I've never forgotten it.

Juli, the sunshine convinced me over 18 years ago that the southwest was some place that I could live out the rest of my life. This time of the year is great for sure, and so much to do here.

Juli, very convincing graphics on the temperature differences between Scottsdale and Chicago!  I had 5 inches of pure white,  powerdy snow to shovel this morning. Nothing like shoveling some Midwest snow to get your daily exercise!

Andrea Bedard at least you're traveling.  Three inches of that white stuff and a snow day?  Wimps, LOL.

Michael O'Donnell SHHHHHHHH -  if we take those temps from the inside of our air conditioned house in July, does that count, Michael, LOL.

Juli, be glad you are down in the greater Phoenix area as the Chicago area received another winter blast! 

Juli, we have had incredible luck the past two weeks and have missed all the snow and ice that has hit to the north and south of us by 60 miles!

Enjoy your beautiful Arizona winters but you will pay for it this summer!  ^_~
