Baby, it's cold outside! Your kids must be driving you a little stir crazy with their cabin fever. They can enjoy a nature experience like none other here in the Lusby community. Sign them up to become one of the 2015 Lusby Nature Nuts at Flag Ponds Nature Park.

The Calvert Nature Society hosts the 2015 Lusby Nature Nuts get together at Flag Ponds Nature Park for kids in grades 4-6. This overnight camp out takes place both indoors and out. This is great news, especially since we've been experiencing such cold weather this year. Guests will walk along the beach and into the woods, looking for clues to the different animal species that call the park their home. With the evening comes another nature walk through the woods, with a s'mores cookout over the campfire directly afterwards. Hot cocoa will also keep your little ones warm.
Dinner, breakfast and snacks will be provided to the participants of the 2015 Lusby Nature Nuts. While the stars are beautiful to look at, it is much too cold to sleep outside. That's why everyone will be heading indoors to the Education Building for bedtime. Of course, all of these activities will be supervised by the adult staff.
Reservations must be made by Friday, January 9th. As of the writing of this post, there were only six spots left. So, if you want your child to be one of the 2015 Lusby Nature Nuts, you had better make your reservation today!
