Carlsbad Has a New Sign in Downtown Carlsbad Village
That’s right. Carlsbad has new and distinctive signage that was just installed in the downtown area welcoming residents and visitors to our Village by the Sea!
The sign is over the main Carlsbad Boulevard, also called the Coast Road (Route 101) at Carlsbad Village Drive. This has been a long time coming and was set in place just a week ago.
Carlsbad will be hosting a formal lighting ceremony on January 8 at 5:30 pm. All are welcome.
Jeff - That sign should surely put Carlsbad "on the map." It is helpful for visitors to know when they arrive and for the town to take pride.

It's been a topic of discussion and debate for years. I like it and am glad it's in place. The next town over, Encinitas, has had one in their downtown area for years

I could not attend the lighting ceremony last night but hope to get by to see the sign at night.
I was in Delray Beach about 10 years ago for dinner and some shopping with my wife when were in FL for an anniversary trip. It looked like a pretty cool beach town!
