I have enjoyed working with home buyers in Silver Spring, MD and beyond since mid-2004. It's quite the honor to be chosen to assist with finding the forever home or to guide first time home buyers through this exciting process. And what an exciting process it is: from the initial decision to house-hunting, from finding the one to developing a winning strategy to get it, from negotiating to making the we got it call, from working through the contingencies to the Happy Closing Day!
I take my responsibilities very seriously and am committed to each and every buyer. There are never too many questions they could ask nor a time-frame that is too long to find the right house (and it's all about finding the right one and not settling for a whatever-home)!
The responsibilities of a buyer's agent are many, staying on top of new developments, market trends and continuing education are among them. I have never been one to scrape by on the bare minimum of what is required. Last year I signed up for the Accredited Buyer's Representation (ABR®) designation and completed the coursework in May.
It took me a few months to submit my application to the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (busy assisting home buyers in Silver Spring and beyond) but am finally able and happy to make the announcement:
Andrea Bedard with Thompson Company, REALTORS has been awarded the Accredited Buyer’s Representation (ABR®) designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council. (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR).
Andrea joins more than 30,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the ABR® designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in buyer representation and an elective course focusing on a buyer representation specialty, both in addition to submitting documentation verifying professional experience.

There are more than 40,000 active members of the organization world-wide.
