A day... interrupted.

I had plans for today... big plans. We were going to get the motorhome out of storage and bring it home. Not because we had plans to go anywhere this weekend, but so we could unfurl the awning and have a margarita or two in the driveway. Hey, don't knock it. Driveway camping can be fun.

The snow has been making a hasty retreat for the past couple of weeks - so much so that we even washed the truck in the driveway Friday night... with snow on the ground no less. (#23 on the list of 'how to know you're a true Alaskan')

Snow Day in Fairbanks Alaska

Saturday, however, we woke up to find what was a clear driveway covered in white stuff. Lots of it. What the heck? Mother Nature - sweetheart, I dearly love you, but please oh please knock it off. :) I'm ready for spring!

I've been here in Ocala Florida since 2004, haven't shoveled one drop of snow.  Went to NY 2 years ago when Dad passed, was greeted with a blizzard 18".  I'll watch it on TV and enjoy vacationland 24/7/365.  You are more than welcome to try it!  Flowers are bloomin'...   :+)

Jesse, The eastern part of WA was getting snow last week. In-Laws drove to MT yesterday and ID had snow. Hubby is in MT and there is snow there! I am so ready for spring!! it is only 44 here and windy!! At least no rain - My parents use to drive the motor-home to visit and we would do the same - kids felt like they were camping and always had a blast! My parents would sleep in the house in the spare room and the kids would sleep in the MH - too funny!!

I feel sorry for you! I have only been complaining about the rain. I shudder looking at your photos! Make those margaritas anyways and drink them by a fire!

Snow in April?  I thought it was crazy that Dallas had snow TWICE in March.  How do you stand it? I mean, I love snow and all, but not that often and not into Spring.

It sounds like Jesse is doing better. I agree with just parking the RV and having a drink. Why not, life to short.

I can't even imagine.  Our neighbors son is in the Army stationed in Anchorage.  I think he has had some adjusting to do.  He now has his new bride adjusting with him and also a younger sister.  They are there until September when he gets out.

Sara - We're in vacationland... it's just covered in snow at the moment, which I am ready to see go away.  I like the postcard (?).  Definitely gets the message across.

Jo- Snow, snow and more snow.  I'm snowed out.  It's probably a good thing it snowed, Kathy really doesn't like driving the MH - she says it takes up too much of the road and since I'm not cleared to drive yet, it all worked out I guess.  It will be here this week though... we have a trip at the end of the month to make so I have to get it ready to roll.

Lori - Now that's a plan.  Margaritas by the fire.  hmmm...

Donna - We love the snow but around this time of year we're ready to see it go bye-bye.

Jim - Ugh is right.  It's supposed to be in the 40's and cloudy all week.

Mike - Mr. Tucson - NO, it has not arrived... heck, at this stage, we'll come get it. I hear that desert air is good for you anyway.

Frank - I'm doing pretty well.  Still don't have much use of my right hand but we're working on that... give me a couple of months and I'll be back to 'normal' whatever that is.

Marchel - I talked to a friend in Anchorage this afternoon and they were DUMPED on today.  We might have an inch and a half... I think they got three to four inches. I would have truly been an unhappy camper.

I Hope the summer lasts as long as this winter did! We have just seen the last of our snow in Wisconsin, so I do hope you can enjoy a snow free and clean truck for at least a few days.

Roberta - Thanks, I'm a lot better.  MN is putting up a good fight this weekend... she's spit snow at us all weekend long.

Wait, who washed the truck in the driveway? Spraying me does not qualify either.

I was going to get my truck out to wash it up too, but it has been a while since I did that.

Now I wish all I had to deal with was a little bit of snow.

Well, at least I'll have some firewood for next winter!

It won't be long until you are using both your camper and boat.

Debbie - Thanks... I'm happy to be up and about.  The snow finally stopped up here.  Looks like spring might just have sprung.

Debe - I agree with you 100%.  Spring is just about here, I think.

Sweetheart - WE washed the truck.  :)  You washed, I delegated.

Don - LOL - I love it.  who needs a clean truck when you've got firewood to deal with.  Heck, stoke the fire and wash the truck later.

I haven't seen actual snow in about five years.  My children have seen it exactly once, on Valentines Day 2003.
