My 1920s home has a mud porch which currently leads into kitchen through French doors. I love it; It’s great for bringing in groceries! However, in order to remodel the kitchen, we’ll have to remove part of it and make some updates. We’re going to remove one of the walls and the old wood stove vent, for example.

Most of our mud porch updates are long overdue. For example, my fridge is currently out there! We’re going to put that in the kitchen where it belongs. The mud porch also leads to a weird quarter bath (toilet only), so we’re turning that into a half bath that will be accessible via the hallway.

Sounds like a nice improvement, hope you keep part of your mud porch to remove shoes and coats. Did you know that 90% of inside dirt comes off of your shoes......
