My wife's company just launched a wonderful health initiative. At the beginning of April, walkers started in Asheville, NC and will continue walking all the way to Wilmington. They plan to cover the entire state. If you live in NC, they could be making their way through your town.
Anyone can participate, even if you are not one of the walkers making your way across the state. All you have to do is log in, record your steps (you'll need a pedometer) and you could win $75,000 (and lots of other prizes).

The Million Step Challenge is no small feat. Bike, row, walk, or run your way to a healthier you. To participate, log in the steps you have taken to be more active and you will be eligible for weekly drawings.
Adults should engage in moderate-intensity physical activities for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American College of Sports Medicine.
