Cleaning vs Buying New Appliances? Should I clean and scrub that old appliance or buy a new one? Yes it's true that we all love the fact of buying new appliances, with all the bells and whistle. Whats more appealing than being able to cook with that brand new top of the line Bosch convection oven or that high tech microwave oven where you defrost your food, then cook it. WOW how cool is that!!! Since the old stove has a cracked handle and the microwave does not spin anymore. Appliances are a very important part of everyday living. Most people could not live without using a microwave or stove. So when you have a choice of replacing that old gladiator of a stove or microwave. This collage of the stove on this page is a rental property oven that we brought back from the depths of well (You get the point). Works great but needed a tremendous amount of love only a owner could muster up.

You need to take a few things into consideration such as:

I CLEANED THIS STOVE MY SELF

  • Do you still have warranty?
  • Is it safe to use?
  • Will my husband let me buy a new one?
  • Should I wait until the kids move out?
  • What will my friends think of this hideous appliance?

The truth is knowing if buying new appliances is in your families best interest. Cleaning is one of the easiest way of bring that old man of an appliance back to life. Some may need a new handle or parts replaced. However some parts with labor cost just makes more sense to buy new or used.

To tell you the truth, if I were on the market for a stove, I'd look for stainless steel electric induction cook-top. My friend has a smaller one and she never goes back to a traditional one:)  It is fun to cook ( the full control on the temperature and time of cooking) and super-easy to clean.( sorry, I really don't like cleaning).
