What did you expect when you got into Real Estate

Hey guys,

I've been a Realtor for 10 months.  I'm doing amazing things inlcuding starting a team that's actually making money and everyone is thriving in.  I was very fortunate because before I got into the business I had two things that were going for me.

1.  My wife has a comnpany called Real Estate Admin Solutions.  She helps top producing Realtors get thier back office in order as well as make more money and have more time.  Mainly she hires, trains and manages the administrator that if the admin leaves, there's always someone there to pick up the slack.

2.  Because of the first point, I read a book called Millionaire real estate agent, which was intorudced to me by Ben Kinney.  Again, a huge eye opener and it gave me an unfair advantage in my market place.

I was lucky becuase of Mary's Business , REAS, I knew that the business had alot of moving parts and that each Realtor had two jobs, 1.  Become a marketer /salesperson , and 2.  Become an administrator and do paper work.

In Reality, this doesn't make sense.  If you look at this closely, when was the last time you found a good sales person be good at office work or pushing paper?  And people wonder why Realtors are Crazy.  They're too busy figuring out what role to play.

This blog is not a plug for REAS, rather an attempt to tell you guys to consider hiring an administrator and seeing what happens in your business.  On my team, buyer agents don't book buyer tours, they don't prepare contracts, they don't follow up with lawyers, and other meaningless tasks.  Yes, each task is necessary to build a business, but do you need to do it?  Someone else can do it.

Call me or text me if you every want to learn how to make alot of money and have more time without having to wear all the hats in your business.

No one should ever come into real estate thinking they got an easy job. It is a lot of lost weekends, holidays, and after 5pm work that keeps this train rolling. If your starting out it can hard too because your not making a lot yet, and so hiring anyone to anything is out of the question. Just keep swimming!

This is so true. I am going to make a few changes this year that may not look like the traditional real estate team model. The idea of having agents who just show properties and don't write offers is very appealing to me.
