Valorie and I were at a clients this morning, taking a listing that'll go on the MLS tomorrow.  The homeowner said "there sure are a lot of papers to sign" and I replied "you think this a lot, wait until it's time to do your loan ... this is nothing compared to that".

I think it is always that way when you buy a home.  They say we are becoming paperless, but I do not see it.

The paperwork can get involved and it has to be addressed carefully.  It has done a job on my glasses, however.

I cleared out a file the other day with almost a half of ream of paper. A quick glance of it revealed just how complex business can be when it fails and what lengths we go to .....to protect ourselves in case of default

Craig, the paperwork can be overwhelming to buyers. It is good for them to find an agent like you who expoains things thoroughly before they sign.

Hell's bells, Craig. There's lots of paperwork here in Charlotte, as well. And all over the country! We're in the same state and we can see the increase in paperwork annually--I can't believe it's not the same in the other 49 states.

Nina Hollander - Well, I'm not sure about the amount of paperwork in many of the other states, but I do know we have lots...with more coming! And, it's a good thing. It affords many protections for both buyers and sellers in our state.

When the paperwork equals the height of the house, the house will sell.

I hate paperwork.
