The Barnegat Bay Partnership is now accepting applications for the 2015 Communication and Education Grant Program.
The Barnegat Bay Partnership (formerly the Barnegat Bay National Estuary Program) is a partnership of federal, state, municipal, academic, business, and private organizations that work together with the communities of the Barnegat Bay watershed to help restore, protect, and enhance the natural resources of the Barnegat Bay ecosystem.
It is one of 28 National Estuary Programs throughout the United States and is administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Only projects located within the Barnegat Bay watershed are eligible for funding. In the 2015 Grant Program, the BBP encourages projects that focus on specific priority topics and target audiences and that address the impacts of climate change.
A total of $45,000 is available; the BBP will consider funding requests from $1,000 (minimum) to $10,000 (maximum).
The first step in the application process is to submit a pre-proposal to the BBP no later than 4:00 p.m. on January 23, 2015. Applicants approved to submit a full proposal must do so no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 27, 2015.

The BBP Communication and Education (C&E) Grant Program aims to support projects that advance the goals of the BBP Communication and Outreach Plan and the BBP Strategic Plan that it supports.
