Business Facilities has named Tennessee the "State of the Year" for the second straight year!
The Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner, Bill Haggerty recently told the Tennessean "We are consistently regarded as one of the most favorable business climates in the United States. That is certainly front of mind as CEOs are considering where they want to locate their business" 
Since the huge Nissan move in 2006 to the recent announcement about the $100 million Under Armour fulfillment center, businesses are more and more finding Middle Tennessee an attractive business investment. Many factors lead to these decisions including cost of living, low taxes and improvement in the education system.
The US Department of Education recognized our state for the improved test scores, recent education reforms and the Tennessee Promise initiative. This initiative allows students to attend community and technical colleges for free.
