Welcome to the December 2014 Market Update for Scottsdale, Arizona.
Here is a look at real estate activity in Scottsdale for the month of December.
INVENTORY OF HOMES FOR SALE AND MEDIAN LIST PRICE FOR SCOTTSDALE - DECEMBER 2014
T
he number of active listings was just over 2,000. This is level with last year and down from November.
At the end of the year, we typically see a dip in inventory as many listings expire during that time.
The median asking price for homes a little over $788,000. This is up from the $699,000 was saw last year.
MEDIAN SALES PRICE AND DAYS ON MARKET - DECEMBER 2014
The median sale price in December came in at around $500,000. This is up from last year as well as November.
The number of units sold in December was 371. This was 12% more than December 2013 and significantly better than November's performance.
There was a 26*% increase in the average number of days on market between 2013 and 2014.
