Extraordinary Gaithersburg: Jenifer Miller
In December, Jenifer Miller provided a platform for an entire community to offer support for Ken Gemmell and his daughter, Arabelle, who endured the unthinkable when wife Marie and two young sons, Devin and Cole, perished after a small plane crashed into their home near the Montgomery County Airpark. Knowing the family from serving them at a local restaurant, Jenifer quickly established a GoFundMe account, to which more than 10,400 people have made heartfelt contributions.
Jenifer's act of kindness to help this family through a most difficult time was recognized with a proclamation at the January 5 Mayor and City Council meeting.
