Free or less than free?!

I like to participate in the Walgreens and Riteaid rebate programs. I look online or at the Sunday paper for all of the items available for the week that are less expensive or free. I gather my coupons and head to the store. I find I can pay the tax with the coupons because the item that was free becomes less than free! I don't have to pay for pens, post it notes, packing tape, lights bulbs, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc. because I get them on the rebates. Riteaid has their program set up so you can go online and enter your receipt. No hassle with copying your receipt and mailing them off. Walgreens is testing the online submission program and I can't wait until it is available!

In this tough market, every penny counts. I do something similar to this also.

I find it becomes a challenge and and a hobby to find and get the free items each week.

Good Job.  Now just need to get those stores where I can get to them.

With all the growth, I am surprised that Walgreens has not built a store there. They have been building stores everywhere the past few years. Several in each town!

Great idea, and doing rebates online sure saves time and a postage stamp

So far I have my Walgreens credit put on a Walgreens gift card which gives me an extra 10%. That helps pay for the the stamps and the taxes.

You know I can save a whole lot of money clipping coupons Julie. But for some reason,I just don't do it. I need to get into a habit of clipping coupon so I can get into the habit of saving money which is what you do when you clip coupons. Great post.

It does take work to clip coupons. I keep trying different methods of organization. I try to separate them into categories so I only have to look through part of the coupons to find one I need.
