When people are relocating, they want to know is there natural gas in Northeast Florida? The answer is yes, but not everywhere. There are a handful of natural gas communities sprinkled throughout the Jacksonville area. They are located in Duval or St. Johns Counties. There is one community in Clay County and none that we know of in Nassau County.
In Duval County, Bella Nina at Tamaya, Palermo, Timberlin Parc, Bartram Springs and Sutton Lakes are natural gas communities. Bella Nina at Tamaya and Palermo are new home construction communities. There is also natural gas in the Historic neighbohoods of Avondale, Riverside, Springfield and parts of San Marco.
In St. Johns County, Palencia, Rivertown, Southampton, St. Johns Forest, St. Johns Golf and Country Club, World Golf Village, Worthington Park, and Woodlands have natural gas, and parts of Nocatee have natural gas as well. In Coastal Oaks, the first homes run on propane, but the newer section has piped natural gas. Willowcove at Nocatee. Kelly Pointe at Nocatee, and Greenleaf Village all offer natural gas. The newer communities in Nocatee are all offering natural gas as far as we have been told.
In Clay County, Margaret's Walk of Fleming Island Plantation has natural gas piped, which is extremely rare and the only community we know of.
