March 7th 2008

This was the date of my very first blog...EVER. Since that date, contributed 30 blog posts and this will be my 31st. I thoroughly enjoy reading other people's blogs as much as I like to post my own. During these past 30 days I have found numerous professionals and have learned a great deal on this site. I have an unquenchable thirst for learning my craft. I can't get enough. As I have stumbled across professionals that seem to add something to my life with every read of their blog i have subscribed. I have subscribed to blogs that i have found refreshing, or informative, or inventive, or knowledgeable. And because I know there are many more out there that I have yet to discover, and need to discover I wanted my 1 month anniversary to be memorable.

Here are a few of the members blogs that I subscribe to. I know there are ton I am missing so please add you own and state why you subscribed to them. It will help everybody out. Learning from my peers and industry professionals on Active Rain has been invaluable to me. I look forward to the future!

Danny Thorton - Always posts something relavant and has good knowledge on the mortgage market.

Janet Guilbault - a True professional in the mortgage business. Highly intelligent and creative. I have enjoyed reading her posts.

Brad Carroll - Creative Wizard. Very skilled at the nuances of the internet and web marketing. Some of his posts are over my head, but I have learned a lot!

George Tallabas - 28 yr real estate professional that has helped me personally. He is just a great guy that goes out of his way to help people. His blogs are always on pertinent topics - whether it is industry related or not.

Jennifer Allan - always offers advice on the realtor side of the industry. Asks probing questions that always get informative responses. I have not only learned a lot through her posts, but through the responses as well.

Mark Organek - Mortgage Professional. Very knowledgable about the market. His posts open my eyes a lot of the time and his responses usually add an informative addition to the post as well.

Brad Andersohn - Kind of a legend. His blogs are amazing from the information in them to the graphical layout. He really loves to blog and it shows.

Jay Beckingham - Very intelligent and knows the market very well. From FHA to conventional, he is very well educated on the mortgage side of things and stays up to date on the current happenings within the industry. Always a nice read.

Renae Bolton - I loved her Unique marketing contest she held. If you haven't read the amazing contributions to it, you are missing out!

Chaz Ramirez - Relatively new to blogging, he is amazingly intelligent and knows his FHA VERY WELL! I have learned from every blog he has posted.

Who else is out there? Share your resources and take from others. I LOVE ACTIVE RAIN!

Casey, I haven't been able to spend my normal time here on AR the past couple of days. Before I shut down tonight, I wanted to check on your blog and I see you've got me on a post. David - House resolution 3915 is a topic worth its own blog. I will reasearch a little more in depth and enter a blog on this topic. As for the basics of it though, I think the mortgage brokers and bank mortgage officers (which I am) should be on the same playing field in regards to full disclosure. That said I have always fully disclosed my loan terms with my clients. I figure the more they know the more compfortable they are and the more likely they are to refer my services.

Casey... welcome to AR... I first want to say, that I am not here to bash.... ;o) Seriously, just very curious.

I have read a few of these that you have mentioned, from the mortgage side. I know Janet has had more than 5 featured just about the mortgage industry and a few that have been mentioned in the MORTGAGE PRO Week in Review ... and I have read a few others before. Not sure if you have read any of mine.... but my point here is that Active Rain is such a large place. You can't possibly read everyone, even some of the good ones slip by or in between the cracks.

In any case, people are searching on the internet.... I am getting tones of business and recognized on AR because of some of the members. I would think you and many that you mentioned would take advantage of some of the groups, to get more recognized. We also need some people to help with the mortgage week in review. And to also add their name to the list so the member that does the week in review, can search for some of these loan officers. Now, some people just like to go about their business and not get recognized. But in today's high speed society of the internet, why not. For the most part, it's free and can earn you tons of business.

If you are anyone else isn't on this list, please e-mail me and let me know. Mortgage blogs by loan officers I love to see new names and faces. Don't be a watcher by.... but again, everyone is different. Here is the most recent mortgage week in review, MORTGAGE PRO Week in Review -- 04/07/08 through 04/13/08

Overall, I hope the others that you mentioned and yourself, participate. We need to spice up the review and get some new names in there.... thanks, jeff PS... I hope all of the links aren't hijacking your post. Just let me know....
