Ringing and Singing – Rod Pierson
I have a few hundred people that I follow here, each one was selected for a good reason. I think it is safe to say that liking what they write is at the top of the list. It's funny how some of the people who you have been following just sort of disappear and drop down the recent blog list. We see so many bloggers on a regular basis, I find it hard to notice when some stop posting.
While going through my list and paying attention to those that have not written anything in over 90 days, I find myself saying, “Oh yeah, I haven't heard from them in a while”.
Rod Pierson is one of those that I followed shortly after he made his return to ActiveRain after years of being away. I enjoyed his writing style and the topics he chose, it was easy to read. It turns out that he had a background in construction and was familiar with many of the topics that I wrote about.
When Rod called me back we had a long conversation, first about business and the year end record keeping practices. I use Quickbooks, he uses Quicken, and we understand that technology has simplified the bookkeeping process.
We talked for quite a bit about ActiveRain, the new format, the challenge with mobile devices, and the MeetUps all came up. I hope that I have helped Rod to better understand some things and come back again to get back on track. I sure hope so.
