Actual conversation with Wells Fargo yesterday

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Capital City 970700173

I called Wells Fargo yesterday, to straighten out my tax impound account on my own mortgage. Or, should I say, I tried to straighten out.  Anyway, the man on the other end of the phone started out his script with asking if would like to stop receiving paper statements and receive them only through email.  No, thank you was my response.

We discussed our business, and then I asked him if he could email me the proof of what he was looking at. Do you know what his response was????

"No, for security purposes we are not allowed to email, but I can fax it to you within 24 hours."

(this is me laughing............)

Hi Catherine - That would be funny if it wasn't so typical of the idiocy that has taken the place of common sense pretty much everywhere.

Catherine Ulrey - Sorry to hear you are having difficulty clearing up your mortgage stuff. It seems like any time I have issues like this, the process companies make you go through never make any sense. I wonder if they ever look at it through the eyes of the customer?

I'm laughing out loud too.

Many folks no longer have a fax machine.  I use a scanner and e-mail the images.

This is crazy.  If a 3rd grader would have used this logic, the teacher would not have given him/her credit.

Absolute insanity, and yet, they many our money, our mortgages and in many cases, our transactions.

I'll trust you had a fax number to give them.

Catherine,

I have heard this from banks before.  They will not fax or email in some instances.  I agree with Michael Dagner post it on Twitter.  You may actually get a response, I have seen that happen for people with Bank of America, where a situation was remedied.  A
