Wordless Wednesday on Thursday: Tower Gardens!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

This morning after delivering Quincy to the vet for a normal surgical procedure, we went over to Cafe Luna in Summerland to pick up a fresh baked croissant and pain au chocolat.  These lovely tower gardens  greeted us chock full of lettuces and other greens.  This produce is grown for Cafe Luna's use, and other restaurant in Santa Barbara.

Montecito Urban Farms sell these tower gardens on site.  It is an ideal way to grow organic vegetables and herbs, using less water and space.  The term for it is "aeroponic".   This is ideal for the small garden, or a condo balcony.

Happy Thursday with a Wordless Wednesday mind frame!

Good morning, Alexandra and Ron -- space saving and very eco-friendly approach to make sure we get our daily dose of greens.

Oh, I LOVE this! The idea, the look, and never heard of it before. It makes total sense.

Pet Quincy for me. I am working on getting this stray (and very sweet kitty)

adopted after I take her into Vernonia to a pet rescue. She finally let me pet her and she is absolutley wonderful. Takoda chased after her when I headed out for our walk, but she was too quick for him. I sure wish that I could keep her, but that won't work. She loved all over me today, the first time in several weeks of her being here. This one photo I have of her is from inside my house, when she heard the dogs barking and she turned.

She really is very beautiful! I thought it was a male, but I think it's a female...just my instincts telling me.

Alexandra-Now that is really cool that they grow their own greens. Talk about getting fresh greens and saving them money in the process, I have heard of vertical gardening but hadn't thought of restaurants doing it.

I like it.  I actually grow lettuce in summer in planters on my office porch.  I would love to add a couple of these columns to grow more.

Hi Ron & Alexandra - That's a cool way to grow some tasty salad stuff (no kale!). As for Quincy, pardon my suspicion, but I'm betting that he wouldn't call that procedure "normal".

What a great an innovative way to grow the best of the organics and herbs in a very interesting and conservative way to save space while growing healthy vegetables too! Montecito Urban Farms is doing something great about the environment too! Thank you for sharing!

Good morning Ron and Alexandria. What a clever idea! I was thinking of doing something similar to this with my strawberries. I just need to find out where I can get large PVC containers like this.

It's whimsical, attractive, and so functional. I've seen these a few times, but not that many in one space. Delightful find.

Hope Quincy heals nicely from his routine surgery. I'm sure he will. Happy Friday.
