Glad to know there are still compassionate people!

Actually, I am writing in response  to Jennifer Bukaty's blog "Is Anybody Home?"posted on April 4th.  For those of you that missed her blog, it is worth the read.  For those of you that commented (115 at last count), it was wonderful to see that there are still so many compassionate people in this World!  We all get caught up in our daily lives, with our daily problems.  However, I would think that none of us will have to go through what thousands of American families are having to go through.  The thought of losing your home, for whatever reason, especially when children are involved would have to be heartbreaking.  These people go in search of the American Dream and end up worse than where they started.  Their credit is ruined and many will never be able to own a home again.  I read each response on Friday and then read the remainder of them today.  I'll have to say that I was touched by the outpouring of love and compassion.  I particularly enjoyed reading the response from Paul Howard of Cherry Hill, NJ.  Your kindness will come back to you over and over again.  Had I been in your shoes, I would have done the exact same thing.

I would like to thank all of you that responded to this touching story that was so beautifully written by Jennifer.  There is hope for us still!

Dont know about that.  I had a friend filed for bankruptcy and within a couple of years he purchased much nice home in a much nicer part of  town.  Of course he could afford it.  All those debts he had that were eating him alive were wiped out.

Hi Shirley,

That blog actually made me cry.  I have such a soft heart...AT&T commercials used to make me cry...the old reach out and touch someone commercials, so you can imagine how I reacted when I read this.  What have we come to when a young family cannot even house themselves?   Our nation had better get someone in office who does understand finances or we will slide further and further  into financial ruin.  Not just personally, but nationally.  Our dollar is worth about half of what the euro is worth...How did we let that happen?  It's really scary!
