“I Don’t Care How a Referral Comes My Way”
I got a call this morning from a someone who said he was referred to Right Trac, but wasn’t given a particular person to speak to. I asked who referred her? She told me she was waiting for her car to be serviced and just happened to start talking about how much lower gas prices and interest rates have gotten and Right Trac’s name came up.
She told me, she went online, actually found me on Linkedin. Sometimes your just better off being lucky, but I always want to thank the person that refers anyone to me, this is one of those cases I just won’t be able to do that.
After speaking to her for about ten minutes I recommended that she not refinance. The balance on her loan is $64,000 and even though the interest rate is 4.75%, she only has 8 years remaining. She is paying down more principal than interest. For the size loan, the savings just would not justify the refinance cost. She thanked me for being honest with her.
As I was writing this post, her next door neighbor called me about refinancing. Like I said, it is sometimes better to be lucky and being at the right place at the right time.
