I recently staged a home and here is one of the before & afters from the project.

It's not super dramatic, but there is something sparkling in those subtle changes that warms and enlivens the room.

It's owner-occupied and all the items used in this particular room were already in the home. (Don't you love that?!)

I'll be adding more imagery from this home and others soon!

Well that does make a difference I guess. JK.  I agree with the idea totally. A picture that looks appealing will sell anything around it. I would like to see more!!!!

It's amazing what some good staging can do for a home!  I would love to see a small comment with each set of Before and After about the technique that you used or a description of the decision you made in staging the room that way.  Better yet, did it impact the sale of the home?

Matthew--Been too busy to post much, but you can sneak preview the WHOLE house (sans before pictures of course lol) on Lanette Branch's site, HERE

Rebecca--I'd love to get into more discussion, and am working on more of a "case study," but haven't had a free minute just yet!  Soon, though.  I hope LOL

Audrey ~ I think you used the correct word for this room in your title - "charming"!  The vanity table(?) was a good idea on that empty wall.

Elaine--And no roosters! :)

Kathy--Thanks, I thought the vanity would keep with the romantic look of the room.

Audrey...I've missed you Staging Girl!  Obviously you've been working a different form of magic...your staging skills.  Nice job!  Some times the smallest changes have the largest impact.

Cheers!

Audrey......I'm glad that I read this post. I like the guess bedroom pictures. But when I clicked on Lanette Branch's link,I saw the other pictures. Very nice. Only a pro like you can use something already there and make it better. Great post.

Audrey, sometimes its the little changes or just the positioning of furniture that can make an impact in a room.  You have done a great thing for this guest bedroom!  Continued Success!

Hey Audrey - Everything doesn't have to be dramatic.  Sometimes simple can be great. Your small changes definitely make the room more appealing.  How are things in B-more? That is my hometown.

AUDREY, Just simple staging makes such a difference.  I'm considering taking a staging class this June.  The one that is 2 days for REALTORS.
