call for volunteers for the 2015 Greenbrier Classic

The 2015 Greenbrier Classic will be held on The Old White TPC Course at The Greenbrier Resort on June 29-July 5, 2015.

While the popularity of The Greenbrier Classic continues to grow, this event would not be as successful without the help of over 1,400 volunteers that participate each year.

Registration is now available for new and returning volunteers, for people of all ages. The committee descriptions that are found on The Greenbrier Classic website, will help you to determine the area in which you would like to volunteer. Some committees may require work prior to and after tournament week.

With registration, each volunteer will receive a volunteer package and incentives. The volunteer package for 2015 will be $85.00 and will consist of:

  • Official Tournament Golf Shirt

  • Official Tournament Outerwear Piece

  • Choice of an Official Tournament Hat or Visor

    • Straw Hat available for an additional charge

  • Volunteer Credential that allows access to the Tournament Grounds for all seven

  • (7) days of the competition

  • 2015 Greenbrier Classic Commemorative Volunteer Pin

  • Meal Voucher for each shift you work

  • 10% off Voucher to the Merchandise Tent

  • One (1) lawn seating ticket to each concert of The Greenbrier Classic Concert Series

Volunteers will receive the following incentive vouchers for working the following shifts:

  • 4 or 5 Shifts Worked

    • One (1) Round of Golf for One (1) Person on The Greenbrier or The Meadows Course

WOW..,14,000 volunteers? This must be a big event. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with it. I just don't know much about golf, although this is the second golfing post I've read tonight. Spring must be in the air in some places.

The benefits of volunteering at this Classic make a boy from Illinois drool, Rebecca Gaujot, the GO TO REALTOR ... and consider moving to White Sulphur Springs for an extended stay this summer!  Have seen the Greenbrier many times ... and the beautiful golf course/grounds there, but have never stayed or played.  Like I said, your post has me thinking .. and drooling!

Rebecca, there are some great incentives for anyone who volunteers. I think it would be fun just to be a part of the event. Anything else is a bonus!
