You Don't Feel Like It Today?  Really?

Have you ever found yourself laying there sometimes in the morning before you get up thinking, "I don't feel like it today?"  You just are not feeling the enthusiasm for what you're doing.  Or perhaps you have a list of things that need to be done that are not going to be fun.  Or you just don't want to talk to another human being today.

What I've learned is that most people will feel this way from time to time.  Some more than others.   I personally love what I do and fortunately I don't feel like avoiding what needs to be done to be successful as an agent.  The real point is that even though we all feel this way from time to time, what separates the boys from the men or the girls from the women is that the winners, the successful agents, those men and women do what needs to be done when it needs to be done no matter how they feel.

Want to be a great success in real estate or life for that matter.  If so continue to develop the capacity for doing what needs to be done no matter what, and mostly no matter how you feel about it.  We all have winner in us.  It just requires effort.  For some like myself, most of what I do as a real estate agent I love, the rest I either man up or make sure it's done by someone better than me.   Because I don't care how I feel.  I care that I continue to build an ever growing base of delighted buyers and sellers.

There are plenty of days I feel like not doing something, but I get up and get it done.

Well said, Frank.

You are talking about the difference between winners and losers, about the attitude that separates the successful from the not successful.    Force yourself, tough it out, get the job done regardless of how you feel!

It is once again all in the attitude of the person.  Kick yourself and get it done.

Absolutely, Frank. Commitment is doing what you said you would, long after the mood you said it in has passed. Clients don't care if you 'don't feel like it' it is our duty to give them out best every day. It's all in the attitude!

I like your attitude, Frank.  Sometimes, we just have to do what we have to do.  I try to do unpleasant tasks as soon as possible so they aren't weighing on my mind!

Frank

We all have days like that . . . .  I create a schedule for the day before I go to bed and I wake up with a purpose. . . . . which helps to get on purpose.

Good luck and success.

It is much easier to do nothing today thinking again ''I'll do it later'' or ''I'll do it tommorrow'', but finding another excuse no to do, is just another reason to procrastinate and feel miserable about it.

I believe, you are very much right. Most people do not feel like working in the morning, but they do. The fact that we can adjust our schedule does not mean we should.
