A Public Park with Room to Roam

in Carmichael, CA

I can remember growing up and my parents taking the family to the park and how much fun that was. It wasn’t just a patch of grass with a few trees stuck in the acres of residential homes that we see in the newer communities in the Sacramento area. No, these parks seem to go on for miles. Maybe that was my perception but many did not has a home in sight.

Sacramento does have its share of large functional parks for us to enjoy in many of the established communities. One of those parks I came across while working in Carmichael, CA. While nestled in the residential town of Carmichael, it has acres of green grass and large mature trees throughout the public park.

The park has much to offer; five ball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds and restrooms to name a few. Recent additions include a Dog Park, Disc Golf, and Playground Improvements. Many more improvements are in the works for this large park in Carmichael, located at 5750 Grant Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608.

This 38 acre Carmichael Park is open to the public, come see what it has to offer!

The local parks and trails in many of our communities are such a gift and an important part of creating livable towns. Can't imagine how stark our lives would be without these wonderful large green spaces for fun, play and gathering.

What a great looking park.  I remember roaming all around the city on my bike when I was a kid.  Seems that kids these days can't really do that anymore.
