"Band Geeks Forever" - January 27 - Meyerson Symphony Center
Dallas Winds and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Wind Symphony (GDYO) will combine their musical talent Tuesday, January 27, at Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. GDYO Wind Symphony Conductor, Nicholas Williams and Jerry Junkin, Conductor will lead the musicians.
More than four hundred young musicians from the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth Area make up the GDYO. Musicians are matched to one of seven ensembles that best complements their musical gift. Ensembles include: the Dallas String Ensemble; the Flute Choir; the Jazz Institute; the Philharmonic; the Sinfonietta; the Wind Symphony; and the Young Performers Orchestra. Talented young musicians connect with and learn from their interactions with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Wind Symphony and other music related groups in the Greater Dallas Area. How exciting it is to see the students perform with members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra!
