Living an intentional life.

Everyone's idea of intentional living differs and may include; faith, finances, values, lifestyle, ethics, personal transformation and beliefs.

For me, it would be:

  • Finding a purpose. Focusing on strengths rather than weaknesses. They are the necessary foundation on building a better self. Avoid allowing others to determine the desired outcome.

  • Pursuing a plan. Maintaining short term and long term goals and implementing them both personally and professionally. Consistently feeding both areas in an effort to strike some semblance of balanced living.

  • Paying attention. Differentiating what works and knowing when to let go of something that doesn't. Being immersed with motivated, positive people willing to share, to receive or give that push when necessary.

Anyone can improve, evolve, adapt if the need and want is sincere enough, I think of myself as a constant work-in-progress who continues to shows up faithfully. What does intentional living mean to you?

Good Morning Wanda. To me, intentional living definitely means having a plan. Even if it's just a plan for that one day. A ship without a rudder will have no direction and be tossed about by the sea.

Wanda-I think the key in this is you live your live with intent, and not just as a leaf floating along a river.

Intentional means taking advantage of opportunities and exploring and discovering new ones. It means not just sitting idle (although occasional reflection is a good thing) but engaging life.

Kathy Streib , Finding a direction is important and can be done at any point in life.

Debbie Reynolds Sometimes reinventing ourselves in order to gain a new direction is necessary, no sitting on our laurels!

Wanda-All great points and there is a book out there entitled "If you don't know where you're going you end up somewhere" In order to achieve anything in life we have to have a purpose, direction and the intention.
