Roy, that has to be one of the most unusual "flowers" I've ever seen. I can't tell if the foliage (leaves) around it is from that plant.

Ron Marshall - We were lucky on this round and have only a couple of inches of ice and snow. It is cold and schools are closed today in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Hi, Roy...that's a very interesting flower. Today was another spring like day, but I guess we have rain coming in. We really need snow, but any kind of moisture is good. These warms days have me thinking of spring and gardening.

Aechmea 'Blue Tango' is a cultivar of the genus Aechmea. It is a hybrid grown in South Florida with a prolific bloom. The cultivar was developed by Patricia Bullis of Princeton, Florida.
