Just a Stone's Throw Away!

Just a Stone's Throw outside of Laclede County sets the beautiful Niangua River, Osage River and Lake of the Ozarks. 

In my opinion, there is nothing more calming than the boat ride back to the dock after an evening of fishing.  It is early still, and there are not but a few "fun seekers" out on the water.  Local fisherman pass by in their boats, stopping to ask us how the fishing was.  I love the Rivers and Lakes this time of year.  It can be so relaxing to just glide across the water and watch the beautiful sunset!

This is the look that my Daughter gives me as she reels in another one!  The White Bass played with her yesterday.  Even though she didn't catch any Record Sized Monsters, she landed a few big enough to get a snack on!  Needless to say, I had one really good bite that I fought in for what seemed like hours....only to be a Rock Bass!  (See bottom of below picture for my Trophy, I think I'll Mount it!!)
