WE DODGED THE STORM

By
Education & Training with Performance Development Strategies

Yesterday, most of the Northeast from Washington DC to Maine was hunkering down for what was supposed to be the biggest storm ever.  Here in Westchester County New York we were all cleaning out the supermaket shelves and the snow shovels at Home Depot and the hardware stores.

You can never take things for granted.  After all Buffalo had 7 feet of snow just a few weeks ago.  Everyone with generators even had them ready.

I woke up this morning and it was still snowing.  Then before noon the sun came out I and I decided to do the big cleanup.

This is what my driveway looked like when I opened the garage.  It did not look that bad.

January 2015 Storm

After I finished cleaning the driveway in the picture below:

January 2015 Storm

Not very much snow at all.  It certainly was not the 3 feet predicted.  I am not complaining.  I was able to finish up early and get back to business.

Hello Grant: That was a great exercise for all of us. Shoveling is therapeutic..but after a few more snow falls-- then it becomes arthritic. Well, I am just speaking for myself.

Not bad at all!!!  This looks like a normal weekly (or daily) snow fall in my area in the winter months.  I'm so glad you didn't get the extreme storm they were predicting.  This is when you are glad the forecasters were wrong.

Hi Grant,

I too was happy that the storm was not as bad as predicted.  Thankfully I was able to make good use of the time in the house.

How fortunate that things were not as bad as predicted in your area. It sounded like some parts of New England really got socked. I remember those days all too well...and do not miss them! LOL
