Westport, Connecticut single family home averaged home sales price for 2014 is at $1,551,542 which is up compared to 2013 value of $1,533,045 with an average home size of 4116 square feet. In 2014 single family homes units sold are down 17% from the previous year. In 2014 a total of 386 single family homes sold compared to that in 2013 of 465 units.

Westport also has many Condominiums for sale with a total of 37 sold in 2014 between the prices of $290,000 up to $1,229,000.

The rental market is strong in Westport with yearly and seasonal rentals available year round. Last year a total of 314 rental transactions were closed.

David, I know Westport well (and love it) having spent many a weekend there visiting friends when I lived in NYC. It's never been cheap, but the price of homes is unbelievable, especially when I think about friends who bought there back in the 1960's at a fraction of these prices!

Nina Hollander so true in the 60's and 70's the prices were affordable for families, now it is considered part of the 'gold coast' of Connecticut, still beautiful.

Affordability is what originally pulled my friends into Westport despite the longer commute into NYC. I think Westport has been considered part of the "gold coast" for quite a long time now.
