You might ask if there were any Seller Contributions to Closing Costs in Buckhead Atlanta for homes in the $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 List Price range.

It would seem logical to say that if a Buyer could afford a home in that price range, the Buyer would have the cash for Closing Costs. Yet asking for assistance with Closing Costs may be a negotiating tool in some cases.

From January 1, 2014 until December 31, 2014, 177 homes sold in Buckhead Atlanta in the Zip Code areas of 30305, 30327 and 30342 in the $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 List Price range. Of those homes, the Buyers of 81 homes received Closing Cost contributions from Sellers.

In Zip Code 30305, the Central part of Buckhead, 27 of the 45 Buyers received a Colsing Cost contribution from the Sellers.

In Zip Code 30327, the North West part of Buckhead, 34 of the 77 Buyers received a Closing Cost contribution from the Sellers.

In Zip Code 30342, the North Central part of Buckhead, 20 of the 55 Buyers received a Closing Cost contribution from the Sellers.

When reviewing statistics about Sales, often a graph or chart makes it easier to visualize the relationship of data about the homes.

So true Lynn B. Friedman  sometimes asking for seller contributions is simply a negotiating tactic .

This was a very interesting topic, Lynn. Whenever, I've had closing cost contributions in this price range, it was in lieue of a seller doing repairs pursuant to an inspection, but not as an initial condition of a contract. Of course, as we see more low money down mortgages for non-conventional loans of large amounts become more common, we might well see home buyers with great cash flow but not a ton of cash in the bank ask for closing costs.
