Throwback Thursday…...

Services for Real Estate Pros with Referral Group Incorporated

I have lived in a city, in the suburbs and now in the country. Each is its own reward and each is different. While I absolutely love my current home, I sometimes think about a different time in a different place. I wouldn't mind a bagel and lox from my favorite deli today and it would be nice in my old garden.

After almost 20 years of being away from my hometown I do at times still miss the quaintness and small town charm that I don't have here in Arizona.

Sheila the bagel & Lox in your beautiful garden sounds like a great combination, now you just have to come up with a plan to enjoy the two :)

Hello Nicole. I certainly understand I love my new old home and the town and area, but good thoughts about the old area too. Thank you.

Hi George. My new old garden in my new old home is even better but no place near to get the bagels and Lox. I'll live though and return trips are fun too. Thank you.

Sheila I swear your mind is similar to mine, I often think the same thing about different places I've lived and the things I miss from each. I've been in my present home over 16 years and don't look to move anytime soon. Maybe you can order some bagel and lox from your favorite store but it would be the same.

different time, different place, different neigbors, different friends. All good, for sure.

Likewise, now, new time, new place, new neighbors, new friends.

Life is so wonderful when we can savor all of it fruits.

Isn't it odd how we sometimes become nostalgic about places we've lived in the past.  I live in the burbs now, but often think of my childhood neighborhood, which had a street a couple blocks away loaded with shops, a market or two, and cafes.  Within 2 blocks we had a library, the post office, a bank, and a goodsized park with a swimming pool.  I miss that kind of living.  But, enjoy the quiet of my community now.

My fondest memories of a home was in Texas.  Wish I had kept it but at the time I wasn't thinking ahead.  You'll make memories where you are.  The other place will become just a fond memory of days past.

Hello Claude. You are exactly right. Nicely said. Thank you.

Hi Myrl. I love your reflections. Sounds special. TY

Hello Paul. Funny but true. Only the good remains. Thanks.

Hi Endre. For me a home is largely a garden. Glad you will have one again.

Hello James. That is true. I wish you good things in your new home.

Hi Joe. Hard to imagine gardens here now too. Thank you.

I never thought I'd miss my very first condo, but I do.  While I love the home I'm in now, and wouldn't change a thing, I still remember the location of my condo and even the home itself fondly.
