Campton Hills Newsletter asks for volunteers to work as a Village Historian to document the history of the village.  Hopefully, there will be the time that it was created and the short and few months that it existed before it was dissolved.

Well most people know that 9 subdivisions have been granted their desire to leave Campton Hills.  The newsletter says that its 5 areas because they don't have the reveune of the other 4 areas just yet (so technically the other areas don't affect Campton - another bullshit sale by the deceivers in this government).  Campton's Kronies do get 30 days to appeal and the newsletter says that they will be "evaluating their options."

PATSY SMITH says that she's disappointed because these subdivisions are "losing valuable services such as 'Village' police protection."  Give me a break....they lose the "Village" police protection and get the police protection of the county without the handcuffs of THE VILLAGE.  The rest of us just look at you 9 subdivisions and are green with envy.

Beware CAMPTON RESIDENTS.  Now there are 9 less subdivisions for the village to spread their bills, debts and costs.  In other words, the rest of us get to pick up the costs and bills of the village...YUCK!

Finally, the newsletter states the following:

The Property Tax Extension Limitation Law (a.k.a. PTELL or Tax Cap Law) requires "new municipalities which have not extended a tax levy (Campton Hills has a zero levy) to hold a referendum establishing a maximum aggregate extension for the levy year."  Blah, blah, blah...The village says these facts are "verfied," by the Kane County Chronicle.  Since when is the Chronicle used as an authority for a reference quote for the village leadership?  How bout statutes, laws, attorneys....but the Chronicle is their point of reference...  The leaders are playing for the press and not it's citizens.

Look for a revote coming soon.  Now that a lot of the facts are surfacing, the fact that the Village has mounting bills and has less people to spread the costs around, but less people to tax.  Note that with the PTELL above, all the village has to do is cross that line and the levy can be cut loose......stay tuned.....a lot more info to come.
