How's This For A Trend – Things Are Getting Busy in Sacramento!
I have been working in the property repair, water damage, and dry rot repair industry for nearly 30 years. The Sacramento Region has trends that will often times match the rest of the nation but like many areas this may not always be true. There are many factors that can change how the construction repair sector can vary across the country.
These factors can be weather related; heavy snow and rain can stifle a lot of repair work. How real estate sales and demand are in the region can play a role in the trend also. Or even things like the economy in general, if people are not comfortable with their finances or the outlook for the future then they will probably be less likely to invest in their property.
In Sacramento and the surrounding cities, there certainly has been a growing demand for more home improvement and repairs. I know that we have experienced an increase in calls for estimates as well as accepted proposals. In talking to suppliers and others in the trades, they have notice an increase in business since the beginning of the year.
Of course some of this is the normal post-holiday trend but this one seems to be continuing to move strong. Other factors may be the lack of rain and warmer temperatures, and an increase in confidence in the local economy. Regardless of why it is happening, we are looking to capture our part of this trend by hiring help to assist property owners improve and repair their homes in Sacramento.
