Having a young grandchild and some ability to use flex time has allowed us to find places to take him that may well have been overlooked. One of these is Image Nation Children's Museum in Bristol CT.

Imagine Nation is truly a children's museum with all displays designed to stimulate the minds of children ages 2 through 8.  With 3 floors of interactive displays, children and adults get to experience all manner of activities from fun with electricity, magnets; water world, which uses a full sized tank that kids get into; a replica anchor desk from nearby ESPN so kids can get an idea of how sports anchors work; 

The museum also features an original 1940's Old-Fashioned Soda Fountain which serves ice cream cones, sundaes, and other treats. Indoor eating facilities are also available.

Groups are welcome and prices are discounted depending on the size of the groups.

On the second Sunday of every month, called Sensory Sunday, they offer special times and rates for special needs children.

 Like the Children's Museum in West Hartford, with a full membership, a member can take advantage of the Reciprocity program offered for reduced admission to over 200 Science museums around the country in addition to reduced admissions to any Association of Children's Museums around the country.
