I have to admit. . .I'm struggling to be positive right this minute.   I just watched my Memphis Tigers blow a nine point lead and lose the college basketball national championship.  You gotta hit the free throws guys!  Athletics is at least 85-90% mental.  The Tigers started playing not to lose there at the end rather than playing to win.  It's a subtle switch in thinking, but very important.

I heard the other day about a realtor who is taking his positive thinking seriously.  He's wearing a big pin on his shirt that reads: "I refuse to take part in the recession".  I like that!  I think I'm going to make up some similar pins and start selling them.  I'll bet we can end this "recession" much sooner than it would end otherwise.  With the media constantly feeding everybody negative stories, we need all the help we can get.

Speaking of playing to win, the first mistake businesses make when times are tough is cutting back on marketing.  Just when they need all the exposure they can get, they cut back.  What about your listings?  Are they getting all the exposure they need?  The RTV virtual tour company blog recently reported that 72% of people in today's web savvy world are finding their homes online.  My Lawrence County virtual tour company's main goal is to help Middle Tennessee realtors get the most online exposure possible for their listings.

Think positive!

Several good points!  Being a productive agent is mostly mindset.  Afterall, this is not a difficult job, when you boil it down.  It has to do with focus and attitude.  Also, you're right on marketing... don't cut it when things look bad.  You've got to keep lead generating!

I just filmed the whole basketball season at our local community center and the level of athleticism was amazing. The kids start young in the instructional division, they play from age five through seven. We go through the age groups and finish with the Premier League where kids are 14 to 17 years old. The way they play the game is a sight to behold. They have their ups and downs and the coaches always try to leave a positive spin on the non too pleasing outcomes. The kids play to win beyond the instructional and the positivity they play with is refreshing. Team work at its best, friends looking out for each other and no matter what day I'd had, when I got to the center, set up my cameras and got into the game my day went away and I focused on these ultra positive, fit and on form individuals and I can't wait 'till next season rolls around...
