The Butler Did It!

Super Bowl final Score courtesy of WikipediaWith the Seattle Seahawks literally a yard or so from winning their second consecutive Super Bowl Malcolm Butler, an undrafted 24 year old rookie who played his college football at the University of West Alabama, intercepted Russell Wilson to end the threat and seal the win for New England giving the Patriots their fourth Super Bowl title.

The 5'11" 190 lb. cornerback reminds us that football is indeed a team sport. And sometimes crucial contributions come from players who are neither large is size nor reputation. Tonight however, Malcolm Butler is a giant among his teammates and Patriot fans.

I'm neither a Patriots or a Seahawks fan but as a football fan I was happy that the game was so close,  so hard fought and so entertaining. That halftime show was as good as I can remember. Katy Perry killed it!

Congratulations to the Patriots and a special shout out to Malcolm for allowing me to finally use the headline.... "The Butler Did It!"

The catch at the end of the game was itself a miracle.  What a great game.

Nancy - It was a great game (except the wrong team won), and the halftime show was pretty good. Wasn't too excited about the commercials this year.

Hi Tim, there were some pretty amazing plays throughout the game but that last catch right before the interception to end the game will be on highlight reels for a while.

Hi Troy Erickson I have friends who are fans of both teams so I'm celebrating with some and commiserating with others.

I hear you Winston Heverly and I'm sure their are a lot of Patriot fans who echo your sentiment.

Hi Christine Donovan I love a good headline and if it causes you to stop by so much the better.

I'm so pleased that when you think of Phoenix you think of me Laura Allen, Lake Tahoe - Truckee Real Estate for Sale www.TahoeLauraLuxuryHomes.com I consider that an incredible compliment.

Hi Michael Jacobs  I guess it works both ways ---- throughout the game I was thinking of all the AR members I know from Washington and Massachusetts and towards the end of the game my friend and mentor Barbara Todaro.

Thanks Sheila Anderson I've been waiting a long time to use it.

Nancy Laswick thanks so much for the kind words....and that football game was a meaningful lesson for everyone in business.... decision making for "THE RIGHT REASON" will make or break you....in this case, it lost the championship for a team; its coaches and the owner.... huge error....

I didn't watch the game and this is the first I've seen of the score.  At least it wasn't a blow out.  Sounds like a close game.

Nancy, Perfect title and it should be used by all the news media. That interception made my jaw drop. I couldn't believe the coach ordered that play.

Best Super Bowl game I have seen in awhile. Loved your Title. I wanted to hear and see what the Butler did. He certainly stole the show. Lot of great lessons learned from watching the game.
