With the Seattle Seahawks literally a yard or so from winning their second consecutive Super Bowl Malcolm Butler, an undrafted 24 year old rookie who played his college football at the University of West Alabama, intercepted Russell Wilson to end the threat and seal the win for New England giving the Patriots their fourth Super Bowl title.
The 5'11" 190 lb. cornerback reminds us that football is indeed a team sport. And sometimes crucial contributions come from players who are neither large is size nor reputation. Tonight however, Malcolm Butler is a giant among his teammates and Patriot fans.
I'm neither a Patriots or a Seahawks fan but as a football fan I was happy that the game was so close, so hard fought and so entertaining. That halftime show was as good as I can remember. Katy Perry killed it!
Congratulations to the Patriots and a special shout out to Malcolm for allowing me to finally use the headline.... "The Butler Did It!"
