SAY IT ISN'T SO...SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER, AFTER A SNOWY DOUBLE WAMMY IN THE PAST WEEK FOR SCARSDALE, NY 10583
On the heels of the hellish snow removal effort last week, we got hammered again overnight and this morning! Now the issue is "to drive, or not to drive" in this half foot of snow, with an icy rain chaser! Wow, will it never end?

Apparently not! Six more weeks of winter follow today's snow event because our fav groundhog, Phil, saw his shadow earlier this morning. We are already dealing with the temps rising and falling, with the town and villages finest trying to keep streets safe and cleared.
Meantime, home or business owners finding wet basements and lower level storage areas and media rooms filled with melting snow from last week. Sorry for the bad news, but with temps crashing to "arctic" tonight and later this week, it's time to batten down the hatches.
Even PVC or plastic water pipes can contract and expand to the point that they weaken and crack. Older metal pipes take a cold lickin' and keep on ticken', but can break over time.
I had checked the Farmer's Almanac for this winter season and it has predicted a snowy and tough one. My grandfather and I had a tradition of checking each Christmas together and he believed in the Almanac on our family's 100 acre farm.
It's good to know and prepare for the worst and the best!
Best of luck and be safe out there as we weather this tough Winter. Go build a snowman if you're off today!
Cheers,
~ Hill
